Support
Open the LinePort menu on the paired Mac to check Messages, reply access, billing, and connection status. Use the steps below for any item that needs attention.
Before troubleshooting
- Confirm LinePort was opened from the setup page inside the correct CRM business account.
- Confirm the Mac is awake, connected to the internet, and LinePort is open in the menu bar.
- Confirm the contact already exists in your CRM. Unknown inbound senders are skipped rather than created automatically.
Messages readiness
- Signed into iMessage — required. Open Messages → Settings → iMessage and sign in with the Apple Account used for personal messaging.
- You can be reached at — keep the iPhone number or Apple Account checked. Set Start new conversations from to the identity LinePort should use.
- Messages in iCloud — recommended so this Mac stays in sync with an iPhone. It is not required to send from the Mac.
- SMS on this Mac — required when phone-number sends need green SMS. On the iPhone, open Settings → Messages → Text Message Forwarding and enable this Mac.
- Can read replies — Full Disk Access must be enabled for LinePort. Without it, sending may work but inbound replies will not.
- Online — LinePort is paired, the Mac is awake, and the connection is active.
LinePort does not sign into Messages and cannot change Apple Account, Messages in iCloud, or Text Message Forwarding settings for you.
If sending fails
- Sign into Messages — open Messages and complete sign-in before retrying.
- Mac offline — open LinePort, keep the Mac awake, and wait for the menu to show Online.
- Payment pending or failed — update or complete payment through the app marketplace. LinePort does not use a separate checkout.
- No destination — add a phone number or reachable iMessage email to the existing contact.
- Attachment rejected — V1 sends only the first outbound photo. Documents, video, and outbound audio are not supported.
- Message blocked — LinePort supports messages written by a person to one existing contact at a time, not campaigns, workflows, or repeated outreach across many contacts.
If replies do not appear
- Turn on Full Disk Access for LinePort, then quit and reopen LinePort.
- Turn on Messages in iCloud when the conversation currently appears only on an iPhone.
- Add the sender as a CRM contact before the next reply. Unknown inbound handles are skipped.
- Group chats remain in Messages on the Mac and are not imported.
- Inbound media must be 5 MB or smaller after LinePort prepares it. Larger video is compressed when possible and skipped if it remains too large.
Channel tags
- imessage is added after Messages confirms iMessage history or delivery for that contact.
- sms is added after Messages confirms an SMS send or inbound SMS.
- A contact can carry both tags. LinePort does not label an unknown channel as SMS merely because iMessage reachability is uncertain.
Connected accounts
Company installs can manage multiple business accounts from the private LinePort account dashboard. Each account keeps its own subscription, paired Mac, Messages account, contacts, and conversations. One Mac cannot serve several accounts.
If pairing does not open
- Download LinePort, move it to Applications, and open it once.
- Return to the LinePort page in the installed CRM business account.
- Click Open LinePort. If the browser does not open the app, copy the eight-character code and paste it into the LinePort menu.
- Pairing codes expire after 24 hours and can be used once.
Email support
Include the business-account name, Mac model and macOS version, LinePort version, the status shown in the menu, and whether the problem concerns sending, receiving, billing, or pairing. Do not email message contents, pairing codes, or Apple Account credentials.
